A lot of our customers use Zapier to connect Receptive with Slack, so that they are notified in a Slack channel whenever a new request is added in Receptive.
With a slight tweak to the example setup here, you can make it so the zap only triggers when a request is created for a specific module.
If you haven't yet set Zapier up to work with Receptive, then follow the steps here. Otherwise, read on and we'll explain how to add filters.
Start by creating a new Zap.
Then select Receptive as the trigger app, and "New Feature Request" as the trigger.
Test your Receptive account to make sure it's connected and that Zapier can pull through the data.
Next, click on "Add a Step" on the left-hand side, and then select the "Filter" option.
Choose "Only continue if...", and you'll see a series of drop-down menus.
Choose "Products" from the left drop-down, choose "(Text) Exactly Matches" from the middle drop-down, and then type the name of the Module in the right-hand field.
Finally, add an action step.
Choose Slack as your action app, and then select "Send Channel Message" as the action.
Connect your Slack account, and then work through the fields to set the message that will be sent to the channel. This can use any of the data fields assigned to the request, such as title, description, and created by.
You can also specify the channel you want to send the message to.
Once all the testing is complete and the zap turned on, you're good to go.
Now, whenever a request is created for a specific module, you'll be notified in a Slack channel.
