Connect 1000+ apps to Receptive using our two-way Zapier integration - no coding required.
Getting it set up
Log in to Zapier and click on "Make A Zap".
Search for Receptive and select it as the trigger app.
You'll then be provided with a choice of three triggers:
Choose the trigger most relevant to the Zap you wish to set up. The triggers are explained below...
Feature Status Changed - Triggers when the status of a request in Receptive is changed.
New Comment on Feature - Triggers when a new comment is added to a request in Receptive.
Feature Request Created - Triggers when a new request is added to Receptive.
You'll then be asked to connect your Receptive account to Zapier. Clicking on the "Connect an Account" button will open a pop-up window.
You'll need to enter an API Key and select your API region.
To create an API Key, log in to Receptive, then navigate to Settings >> Integrate. Scroll down and you can click on "Show API Keys" and then "Create API Key". You can then copy/paste this into the pop-up.
NOTE: Only team members with adequate permissions can access the API Keys. More information on team permissions can be found here.
By default, the API region will be "eu-west-1". You can confirm this on the Settings >> Integrate page.
Once you enter the details in the pop-up your Receptive account will be connected to Zapier. You can test the connection to make sure it's worked.
You can then proceed with creating the Zap.
What Receptive Data can be Pulled into Zapier?
The following data fields can be taken from Receptive and pulled into Zapier, to be used in another app...
What Receptive Actions are Available?
There is one Zapier action available for Receptive:
- Create/Update Customer
This creates or updates a customer's (end user's) record in Receptive.
Filters
You can use Zapier filters to add further detail to the zaps you create, and to ensure precise workflows.
You might, for example, want to send a message to a Slack channel when a new request is made in Receptive, BUT, you only want requests relating to a certain product.
By adding a filter to the Zap, you can specify that it should only fire when a request is made for that specific product.
Click "Add A Step" on the left-hand side, and then select "Filter".
You can then choose "Products" from the first drop-down, then "(Text) Exactly Matches" in the second, and then type the name of the product in the third field.
You can then continue setting up the Zap as normal.
Other filter options are available. You can filter using any of the data fields assigned to a request (title, description, creator name, etc.) so play around and see if you can find something to suit you.
Zap Templates
We have a range of templates set up with most of the fields pre-filled for you. You can use these to easily set up integrations with different apps.
You can view the templates below.
